Well, it has been awhile since I have written a journal entry. The last few weeks have been a bit crazy for the Greenwood Family. My mom came for a week in February to help with the kiddos while Chris was on study leave. While she was here, we went to the National Children's Museum and did LOTs of sewing projects. Part way through the week, Sophie started running a fever and then it went downhill from there. One by one, the kiddos started getting sick with fever, runny nose and cough. By the time it was all said and done, we had all four on antibiotics (Sophie for an ear infection and the others to help with the RSV) and three were on breathing treatments. It was ABSOLUTELY CRAZY trying to keep up with the medicine, breathing treatments, steam showers, and disinfecting toys, but we have made it...only by the grace of God. Chris went down with the germs a couple of days after getting home and I went down at the end, so again God showed favor to our family and kept one parent mostly healthy throughout the three process. We are thankful that the kiddos are doing so much better, and I know that they are glad to be better. They sure missed going to their activities and have gotten back to them this week. I must admit that part of me enjoyed the time off from all of the busyness. We were able to do LOTS of cuddling on the couches and watch the Winter Olympics. They have enjoyed learning about new sports and the Russian traditions/culture. We were also blessed by having some unexpected meals provided for us...again, something that just helped in the midst of all the craziness. The Lord continues to teach me in the area of accepting help...it is so easy for me to serve others, but often times I feel like there is someone else that is in a far worse situation that I am in that could use the help. I am thankful for the reminder that I to need help and when I allow other people to help me not only am I blessed, but the giver is also blessed.
Well, that is it for now. Please continue to pray that God's protection will be around us for the rest of the winter
