Well, it's been a little crazy since we got back from our vacation.  I've been trying to unpack and get things put back up while dealing with some morning sickness---or should I say all day sickness.  It hasn't been as bad with Josiah, but still not fun feeling queasy.

We had a great time at the beach.  Josiah wasn't too sure of it at first, but by the end of our stay he was LOVING it!  Josiah didn't really understand the concept of vacation and sleeping in, so most mornings we were up by 6am!  We would go on a morning walk and then sit out on the balacony until breakfast time.  We took quite a few pictures while we were there--shouldn't be surprised by Photographer Mommy.

We are now getting ready for his first birthday party.  We will be celebrating a day early since his birthday is on Sunday.  I can't believe that he is already a year old!   I will post pictures sometime next week.

Well, I should get going.  Josiah is napping and want to enjoy so quiet time--not going to have much of that in a few months!  : )

9 weeks

Well, I'm 9 weeks along and things are going well.  I have been a little queasy here and there, but nothing like with Josiah.  PTL!  We are going to be making some phone calls this week to see a doctor.  There are so many to choose from up here that it is so overwhelming.  We've talked to a couple of families and got some recommendations, so that makes it a little better.  I continue to be tired, so I'm more than willing to take an afternoon nap when Josiah lays down.  It's hard work growing a baby!

We are excited about this new life and can't wait to see how the Lord is going to bless us.  I'm counting down the weeks until I'm out of the first trimester---I think this is the most nerve racking time.  We just pray that the Lord will keep this baby healthy and in place like he did with Josiah.

Hope all are doing well.  We will keep you posted on how the pregnancy is going.  Thanks for the continued prayers.  They are GREATLY appreciated!

Big Boy Breakfast

Well, Josiah ate his first Big Boy Breakfast this morning.  We have really been trying to get him to eat table foods, but he enjoys eating his baby food way too much.  We would feed him baby food and give him some table food, but he would gag whenever he would eat the table food unless it was cheese toast.  Well, Mommy decided this morning  she wasn't going to give him the option of eating baby food.  So I made him so blueberry pancakes and some hashbrowns.  He did an excellent job eating his big boy food.  For lunch, I'm going to give him a grilled cheese sandwich with some more hashbrowns and some veggies.  I'll give him some applesauce after he has eaten a good amount of the other stuff.  Last night, I told Chris my fear is that we are going to have a 2 year old who is still eating baby food!  Smile

The Greenwoods started a family tradition on Saturday, which is walking to the bagel shop for breakfast.  It is a good 30 minute walk one way.  We've been talking about doing this for a few weeks now, but we were either out of town or the weather was bad.  Josiah LOVED his walk and was ready for his morning nap by the time we got home.  We saw some cool animals along the way---Mommy happened to have her camera so we got some pictures of them.  They aren't rare animals, but I must say I was shocked to see them since we live in the city!

We have 2 more days until we leave for NC.  We are pretty excited to have a few days away from all the hussle and bussle.  I'm sure we'll have plenty of pictures when we get back, so be looking for them.

Warming Up

Well, it’s almost been a week since we found out that I’m 99.9% pregnant.  We have an appointment on June 11th with Dr. Bob to take a pregnancy test to confirm what we already know.  We ended up telling our parents on Friday night.   We had Josiah wear a shirt that said, “Big Brother—Ready or not here I come!”  I was more anxious about telling our parents than anything else.  They are all very excited and know that this wasn’t our plan, but God has a reason for this little one to come now.  I’m really starting to warm up to the idea of having a second child this early---I still worry about being able to handle a newborn and a toddler at the same time.  Chris has been very encouraging about my worries and reminds me how great of a mom I already am.  I’m so thankful to have a wonderful husband.

I’ve been pretty tired in the afternoons, but Chris takes care of Josiah if I hadn’t taken a nap by the time he gets home.  I am remembering the fabulous sleep that I got when I was pregnant with Josiah.  I still believe that they need to bottle up these hormones and sell them!  Josiah has been sleeping 10-12 hours at night now that he is getting better, so I’m getting some good sleep.  If he does get up, then Chris has been getting up with him.  Again, I’ve got such a wonderful husband!

We are heading to NC a week from today to spend a week with Papa T & Lin-Lin.  Josiah will also get to meet his Great-Granny Kay, Great-Pa Potter and Great-Aunt Sue.  Chris and I are looking forward to hanging out with the family and just relaxing.  I’m looking forward to the beach and taking some pictures.  Hopefully, Josiah will get used to the sand.

Well, I should get going.  Today is the day that I head to the church for a few hours.  We are kicking off our summer program, so I need to make sure that I have everything ready.  Again, we ask that you continue to pray for us and for our new addition, Baby G2.
